I'm an ordained minister, that believes in serving the LORD totally, heart, soul, mind and body! I've given away more in the last12 yrs, then I'd ever done in my whole life. I would live in poverty, just to see others prosper. I live each day as if it were my last and serve the LORD to the fullest with each breath I'm blessed with!
Praise the LORD!!! Thanks for visiting! I'll be praying for you!

Hello Rev. Barth;

Stopping by to see how things are going at your neck of the woods!!! God is Good, let us remain patient, as He has His timing in preparing the soil to bring forth His will and purpose.

Funny, one Sunday not too long ago we (at U.R.) were discussing different ways and means we could help our neighbors.  I was so excited and even looked for available spots for a shelter or a soup kitchen in our city (lots of run-down places here that could be fixed up to suit such purpose, lots of oppressed and homeless people).  I thought about you and your ministry and also mentioned it to a brother who was interested.

The thing is, nothing was said after our initial discussion (we've all been dealing with our "own" problems).

Perhaps there is a seed that the Lord will water (but we also need to take the initiative!)

God bless you for doing just that, may the Lord bless your efforts with fruitfulness.

all hell...

Praise the LORD!!!
Well it looks like all hell has come against the ministry again!!! I just found out that there has been a lien against the property and that bankruptcy had been filed. Yet no payments were being made. We now have to move! Where the ministry will be relocated only the LORD knows, but I'll go where HE provides and only there.
Right now my mind is a mess, this was just laid on my plate this morning. I've been praying, my faith is that the LORD will provide, I just must wait for HIS plans to come into being!!!

GOD bless and good day,
Rev. Barth

Never Forget

The Night Before Christmas

T'was the night before Christmas,
He lived all alone,
In a one bedroom house,
Made of plaster and stone.

I had come down the chimney,
With presents to give,
And to see just who,
In this home did live.

I looked all about,
A strange sight I did see,
No tinsel, no presents,
Not even a tree.

No stocking by the mantle,
Just boots filled with sand,
On the wall hung pictures,
Of far distant lands.

With medals and badges,
Awards of all kinds,
A sober thought,
Came through my mind.

For this house was different,
It was dark and dreary,
I found the home of a soldier,
Once I could see clearly.

The soldier lay sleeping,
Silent, alone,
Curled up on the floor,
In this one bedroom home.

The face was so gentle,
The room in such disorder,
Not how I pictured,
A proud army soldier.

Was this the hero,
Of whom I'd just read?,
Curled up on a poncho,
The floor for a bed?

I realized the families,
That I saw this night,
Owed their lives to these soldiers,
Who were willing to fight.

Soon round the world,
The children would play,
And grownups would celebrate,
A bright Christmas Day.

They all enjoyed freedom,
Each month of the year,
Because of the soldiers,
Like the one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder,
How many lay alone,
On a cold Christmas Eve,
In a land far from home.

The very thought brought
A tear to my eye,
I dropped to my knees,
And started to cry.

The soldier awakened,
And I heard a rough voice,
'Santa, don't cry.
This life is my choice.

I fight for freedom,
I don't ask for more,
My life is my God,
My country, my corps.'

The soldier rolled over,
And drifted to sleep,
I couldn't control it,
I continued to weep.

I kept watch for hours,
So silent and still,
And we both shivered,
From the cold night's chill.

I didn't want to leave,
On that cold, dark night,
This guardian of honor,
So willing to fight.

Then the soldier rolled over,
With a voice, soft and pure,
Whispered, 'Carry on Santa,
It's Christmas Day, all is secure.'

One look at my watch,
And I knew he was right,
'Merry Christmas my friend,
And to all a good night.'

This poem was written by a peace keeping soldier stationed overseas.

The following is his request. I think it is reasonable.

PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many
People as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our service men and women for our being able to celebrate these
Festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make
People stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves
For us.

In years past...

   Praise the LORD!!!

In years past much of my time working for the ministry was spent trying to gather supplies and funding from the large ministries. These were basically what ones that are called "mega minsitries.'  If you were to think for but a moment, it would be a fair bet that you could come up with a lot of their names. A good number of these, bear the name of the center preacher. Something like, john doe ministries or jane hancock ministries. I think most of you know the one's I'm talking about.

In the ten years since Vine of CHRIST Ministries has been in exsistence, we've  received only a $300 shipment of videos and books. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for these, but one would think that ministries that receive millions of dollars a year in donations, could spare a little more then this! Most of the replies were far less than this. Most offer their prayers and very little else. I'm thankful for their prayers, for I know well the power in prayer and this is but my first line in that which the ministry does. Scripturally, we're told that when a brother comes and ask us for our help, we're sinning if we send them away with but our prayers. We're to help them to the greatest of our ability, for the LORD has graciously provided for us and will continue to do so!!

No longer will V.O.C.M. seek to get funding from anyone. GOD will be the only one that we will seek our assistance from. This will be thru our prayers. GOD has promised to provide all of our needs! HE has promised to met them to an even greater level then we could ever imagine!! Even though I'm currently the only member of the ministry, I'm positive that the LORD will begin to provide those that HE wills to join me in this venture. The LORD has already provided these, for I've prayed on this matter, it's but that they've yet to answer the call. For I believe that GOD already knows what we pray for when we pray and that HIS answer to them has already been made, it is just that we've yet to see all things involved to come into fulfillment.

In the early years of the ministry, I had a food pantry and clothing distribution venue to the ministry. There will be a return to these in our reformation since our relocation to Florida. I'd received a great amount of these items from neighbors and church family. So much so, that at several times, I needed to give them to other ministries in the area of operations (Spfd. MO.). Most of the operational expenses have aways come from my own pockets and will continue to until the LORD provides others. For some reason, many seem to write off V.O.C.M.. Why, I'm not sure and really don't care. I know where my heart lies and what the LORD has shown me this ministry will be some day. I will just have to await HIS timing and provissions and until that time provide that which HE has blessed me with (thru work) to provide for these needs. The growth of the ministry will continue to be slow, but this must be the LORD's will, for it would even be what it is today, unless it was HIS will !!!

With the passing of my mother, I've become the owner of a small piece of land with a two bedroom trailer sitting on it. As of the first of November, it is the ministry's office. It will be used to continue the reformation of the ministry from, until the funding and need to move changes this fact. Within the next several days there will be another phone number for the ministry and the website will be changed to reflect this. What all the LORD has in store for the ministry at this time, I'm not sure, but I take it day by day. I've been shown much about the future of the ministry, but the currrent daily operations of, I'm only a vessel and must await that which HE has in store for me. I pray when I first awake and than allow HIM to format my day. I've had many a strange day, needless to say. For we all know that the LORD works in mysterious ways!!!

GOD bless and good day,

Rev. Barth
